Help me name the kitten please

We have a new kitten joining the family in 3 weeks and no-one can think of a good name.

She's a grey tabby moggy. No photo yet but I attach a photo of her littermate and they are nearly identical.

We just cannot think of a name. We don't like the names which just say "grey" - Misty, Smokey etc. Nor obvious cat names - Tabitha etc. Nothing is grabbing us.

What would you call this kitten?

I'm sure when you get her home you'll just find the perfect name.

I'm a great believer in slightly silly names for cats. I can't imagine naming a cat Ruth/Judy/Ida/Sarah incase the neighbours thought I had lost a child/drunk adult.

What about August if it's still August by the time you get her?

Yes, I'm not struck by many human names. If someone shouts "Agatha" I'd have to shout back "Christie!" Etc etc.

But now the kids want "Bear" and that seems ridiculous too.

I always think that tabby cats which have the 'M' pattern above their eyes really should have a name beginning with M. So Minerva would be perfect (Minnie for short). Or Mabel, Mavis, Maggie etc.
