Do all kittens bite ?

I have x2 13 yr old cats so it's been a long time since I had kittens.

I adopted a kitten, now 12 weeks old. He bites a lot ! Mostly when playing so doesn't hurt too much but sometimes he bites really hard and it hurts.

Is this normal or am I going to have a very bitey cat on my hands ??

Sorry for the stupid question!

My cat is about to turn 4, is still a little bit playfully biting. Mind I only adopted him 3 weeks ago. But yes, in my experience most kittens bite. I'm not sure how you teach them not to do this, I tell my cat off and ignore him for a bit. Give him toys, scratching post, play time. Hopefully someone else will be along soon to offer some advice.

I've always managed to stop kittens doing it by doing a high pitched squeal every time they bite emulating a littermate telling them they've gone too far.
