Crazy kittens

Nine weeks old now, this pic’s a couple of weeks old, jabs tomorrow (eek!). They have 2 modes, zonked out asleep or tearing about like lunatics in full-attack mode. Hilarious and exhausting to watch. They have no manners as regards claw etiquette, should we be trying to train them before our legs and all soft furnishings are ripped to shreds? Or just let them get on with it and hope they learn eventually?

They get too heavy to climb up things eventually. Enjoy it, kittens are hilarious.

They're gorgeous.

My cats are two and a bit and I remember the litten phase. They are much more chilled now but it was a shock to the system.

I'd only ever had my childhood cat, so obviously my mum did most of the grunt work and she was an outdoor cat.

Taking on 2 x 8 week old kittens as indoor cats was a baptism of fire but definitely one of the best things I've ever done. They've been such a source of comfort and amusement through lockdown especially.

See...much calmer these days Smile

Absolutely gorgeous 😍😍😍

DH is keen photographer, it’s a Canon EOS 500. Needless to say he has taken several hundred kittens pics!!!
They’ve been quite quiet today up to half an hour ago, now they are on full zoom-mode. 😆😆

Thank you, I think my BIL has the same one - I am always disappointed when he doesn't have it on a family outing!

Gorgeous photo! Joining in as my brother's two kittens keep climbing up the curtains (my house and I paid a lot for them so don't want them shredded!). We tell them no in a firm voice but they take no notice!

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 29/07/2020 19:37

Ahh they are gorgeous Grin

We by-passed the kitten stage and went straight for 1yo bro/sis
I sometimes think "Ah it would've been nice to have got kittens" then I catch a dose of reality and thank my lucky stars we went for semi- well behaved OverLords.

The odd Mad Half Hour but it's fun to watch .

TheLongRider · 29/07/2020 19:38

Oh my goodness! Trouble in kitten form. You'd better send them to me for your own good.

Is the one on its hind paws a girl? If so we had a ginger Tabbie girl cat who kept up her two modes of psycho bitch or sleeping until she died aged 16. She was the terror of the neighbourhood dogs, she'd frighten the shite out of the local terriers, literally. She broke two catflaps by sprinting through them at high speed. Anything on a table was thrown off by her. She was a tornado in cat form.

Apparently ginger tabbies are called Torbies because they have some of the tortie terrorist tendancies.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 29/07/2020 20:15

LongRider I reckon noarguements is finding a box and duct tape and working out postage costs right at this minute Grin

Our female cat throws things on the floor if she doesn't like them
2 fruit bowls (one older than my DS) broken
Pens
A book on DS storage drawers ( Female Cat likes to sit on there)
Computer mouse

No walking round it , no reasoning . Just swipes/shoves .Job Done .

❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Stupidly adorable.

How did their jabs go.

noarguments · 01/08/2020 09:19

Jabs fine. They were sleepy for a while after but not for long. They are now entering the Houdini stage, trying to squeeze through windows that are open just a crack due to the 32 degree weather! Too cute to wrap up and send, soz.

Flat cats do window mesh coverings so you can have the windows open.

crimsonlake · 01/08/2020 10:52

Fab quality photo and gorgeous kitties.
My calico is still going at it hell for leather18 months down the line.
I thought kittens had mad outbursts followed by sleep...she never slept during the day at all. You have done wisely getting 2 to entertain each other, less terrorising for the grown ups.
