Can cats sense pregnancy?

We have house cats but also several years ago were adopted by a stray. She’s never come in the house much (her choice) she will come in the kitchen at night but during the day we scare her so she sits outside.

I’m 5 months pregnant and she got in bed with me a couple of nights ago! I couldn’t believe it and then again last night (along with other cat and being cats they of course sat right in the middle of the bed.)

Can she sense my hormones changing?

Apparently they can, even though mine just come and go as they please as normal! Mind you, they have always wanted to be close when sleeping so it sounds like your cat really wants to show affection now, how lovely!! Cats are very clever animals, so it really wouldn't surprise me 😻
