Cat flap recommendation

Picking up DCat tomorrow and speaking to DH about cat flaps. Obviously we have a few weeks before this is an issue!

TreacherousCat had a regular flap but DCat will be kept in at night so we want it to be easy to lock and unlock. I'm guessing a microchip flap would be the best option but the choices are quite baffling. Is anyone able to recommend a good one?

Sure flap.
Some folks will have the one that links to an app so you can see when it gets used... we don’t. I wish we did!

We have Sure flap and we have the app kind as DH loves a gadget. It’s actually really great and I like knowing when they’re in and out!

I love a gadget too and would definitely want an app. Do I need the hub for it to work?

The one we got came in a box with the hub and the cat flap altogether - pretty sure it is needed, not sure why you can buy separately!

It does get through batteries so we have two sets of rechargeables ready to change in and out.
