DS bought 'senior' cat food by mistake

What's the difference? Does it matter?

Not that I actually know how old 'my' cat is, as she's a local stray I have just started feeding.

As you can see from the photo, Calico is weak with lack of nourishment and requires 10 meals a day. Or so she claims.

how much of it did he buy?

TokyoSushi · 14/07/2020 14:20

We've done this before, if it's just one of the small boxes then I'd say it's fine.

HirplesWithHaggis · 14/07/2020 14:21

I suspect it's probably lower in calories, the odd box won't matter. My three year olds have had kitten, 1+ and 8+ food this year alone, DH doesn't always check, and they're fine.

mintich · 14/07/2020 14:21

I think it has fewer calories as they tend to be more sedentary

wrongsideofhistorymyarse · 14/07/2020 14:22

Poor starving love. Are you sure she doesn't need 20 meals a day?

What a beautiful girl. I don't think it'll do her any harm.

FlamedToACrisp · 14/07/2020 14:22

It's a pack of 12 pouches.

Normally less crunchy and easier to digest.

Probably not a problem as long as she doesn’t turn her nose up at the correct food later.

Shouldn’t be a problem. Will have lower calories and perhaps a different vitamin content. Won’t really make much of a difference even long term

HelpMeh · 14/07/2020 14:25

Lower calorie you say... 🤔 Maybe my lot need to be on senior food, little lumps.

There may also be some extra vitamins for joints. Can't imagine it'll do any harm.

TheVanguardSix · 14/07/2020 14:26

She's built to last! Grin

NotSuchASmugMarriedNow1 · 14/07/2020 14:26

Give it to cats protection and buy her the right one for her age.
