Lost kitten - anything I should do?

I think our kitten may have squeezed out they sliding doors - they were open as it’s hot here.

She is a very chatty, hungry cat, 9 months.

If I shut the sliding doors we won’t hear if she cries to get in for food etc. I’m sat by them now.

Should I just go to bed and hope she finds her way back tmw morning?

Stay up as she is likely to get hungry thru the night?
We are on a road of attached gardens so lots of places to hide.

Feeling a bit full of emotion as she came to play with me but I was on the phone as my auntie is sick in hosp with c19 so I was preoccupied. Now I just feel awful 😿😿😿

Does she have a litter tray OP? Put it outside if you can, they can smell their own litter from miles away so it may attract her home. Maybe a nice cosy box for her to shelter in too if she comes back overnight? x

I hope she comes back 😭 it's up to you what you do tonight, but i know i wouldn't be able to sleep until she's found! Maybe put a bowl of food and water outside to lure her back? Or a few dreamies? 😩

Litter tray is a good tip. I’ve taken the lid off and left it on the patio.

She is eating 3 pouches a day and one at night plus dry food. So if she makes her way back here it will be hunger. I feel so bad.

To be clear we don’t have a flap as we have sliding doors. So she can’t get into the house unless I see her. And when she is scared she hides. She likes to be under things.

Aside from keeping the door open and going out with a torch and calling her there is not a lot you can do tonight , if she is not back in the morning start knocking on doors , post on local Facebook / WhatsApp groups etc and get people to check their gardens and sheds . Hopefully she will be home soon .

Are you sure she’s not hidden somewhere in the house? I was convinced my cat had got out and found her curled up under a radiator cover, in an impossibly small space.

Hope she’s found soon.

we've got two kittens ourselves that like to escape thru any slightly open window, or when we slowly open the door (they like to sit behind it - they've got escaping down to a t).

Walk around outside shaking the dry food box and hopefully she'll dive back in.

Our cats don't understand their names but they understand breakfast alright. Maybe do her feeding routine outside (we make a lot of noise/fusses when it comes to feeding of 'Ooooo booys what do we have here.. it's breakfast time' in a high pitch and they both come flying.

She is a chatty cat and likes to be near me, so if I call she nearly always comes to me, and when she gets stuck some where she has a good loud miaow that you can hear everywhere. She usually miaows to be played with. So the absolute silence tells me she just isn’t in the house. Sad

She came back! Just as I thought she miaowed when she was close to the back door. Thank goodness. So pleased that she knows this is home.
