Cats and toothpaste?

Hi all, Astrid has just come down with a sticky patch in her mane that smells of toothpaste, I would guess she has been in the kids bathroom and brushed up against it as they never put the lid back on.

She was licking it clean before I noticed.

Google is giving me mixed results starting at she'll be fine, briefly stopping at she may be sick and finally stopping at she's going to die.

Any advice? She's our first cat and we haven't had her long so this is a first!

Its probably only a small amount. Is she acting oddly?.

LadyFlumpalot · 09/07/2020 20:45

No, she seems absolutely fine. She had a brief nap on me then went for her dinner. I've checked upstairs and it looks like she's been sitting on the windowsill practically on top of the toothpaste tube so I am certain it's just a tiny bit in her fur and not a huge wodge she's eaten.

I thought this was going to be a thread about using toothpaste on cats! Cheddar has vanilla flavoured from the vet. She did not appreciate it!

@LadyFlumpalot. She was very good about it. She just absolutely hated the flavour. It was vanilla.🙄 Chicken or fish flavour would have been better!
