Hello fellow cat mums (and cat dads) and cat slaves.

I finally got the call from our local rescue (been waiting weeks) that a kitten is ready for us to collect on Saturday! We are beyond excited!

However none of us can agree on a name! DD1 likes Minerva
DD2 likes Izzy
I like Betsy
DH likes Harriet

Pic from the rescue below (as I know I can't ask for kitten names without a pic!) I'm so in love already.

I would love some suggestions that we can all agree on :)

Sophie?.

Lockdownlooks · 02/07/2020 11:20

I actually like the current name Normandy (Or is that just the cage she is in?)

chateaukaleidoscope · 02/07/2020 11:21

Maisy.

Justmuddlingalong · 02/07/2020 11:25

If she's currently Normandy, what about Norma?

StCharlotte · 02/07/2020 11:25

I like Betsy.

Whatever you call her, she's absolutely gorgeous!

cricketmum84 · 02/07/2020 11:29

@Lockdownlooks I actually really like Normandy too but both kids are totally vetoing it. And I think it needs to be a joint decision.

Maybe a French name as a nod to her rescue name?

Nora - from Normandy. Fifi?

Papergirl1968 · 02/07/2020 11:41

I think Minerva would be quite hard for a cat to understand that that is her name. You could shorten it to
Minnie or Min though.
She’s gorgeous.

PuppyMonkey · 02/07/2020 11:44

Coco after Coco Chanel? Smile

I have recently been fantasising about getting another kitten, which shall be called Skittle...?

Tavannach · 02/07/2020 11:47

Manon
Chloë
Romy

nocoolnamesleft · 02/07/2020 11:47

Wasn't the Normandy beach landings operation called Overlord? She soon will be your overlord!

cricketmum84 · 02/07/2020 12:20

@nocoolnamesleft I do not doubt that for a second! We will all be wrapped around that tiny fluffy paw by Saturday evening! Even the DH who proclaims to not like cats.... yeah right!

She's beautiful Smile I like Izzy.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 02/07/2020 14:41

Harriet is perfect.

giantangryrooster · 02/07/2020 14:44

Izzy, or Donna. She is lovely Smile.

Blueberrycreampie · 02/07/2020 14:47

Mandy or Mandie (Normandy / ie)

Fluffycloudland77 · 02/07/2020 15:08

Yes you can tell MrCricket mum dislikes cats by the way he chooses names & agrees to adopting kittens. Textbook behaviour for a cat hater that is.

The count down is on to “who’s daddy’s best girl? You are, aren’t you? Yes you are! Your a good girl”.

Riv12345 · 02/07/2020 15:14

Piper

Roselilly36 · 02/07/2020 15:26

She is just gorgeous OP, you must be so excited. Names I would suggest are Ebony, Paris, Lulu, or Mischief.

MooseBeTimeForSummer · 02/07/2020 16:17

Coco Chanel loved black dresses with a little white collar. I think Coco would be perfect!

Ellmau · 02/07/2020 23:50

Minette
Fleur (for Honfleur in Normandy)

PurplePansy05 · 03/07/2020 00:00

TracyBeakerSoYeah · 03/07/2020 00:05
