CKD 2

My cat has just been diagnosed with chronic kidney disease 2 which is no surprise as she been drinking and peeing a lot.
She had treatment for hyperthyroidism and doesn't have an overactive thyroid any more so that's good.
She's 19 so I told the vet she isn't having endless blood tests and treatment at her age, she hid in a cupbaord for a week after the last vet visit so I don't feel it would be useful or change the course of the disease at all at her age.
So the main treatment is the renal diet which is eye wateringly expensive.
I was just wondering if any of you know anywhere online where you can get it cheaper than the vets?
She likes eating and will eat three pouches a day and biscuits.
Seriously this is why I only have one cat these days, I don't know how anyone affords vet fees for more than one even with insurance!!

Try any of the on line pet food stores like Zooplus, Animed direct, or Pets at Home. I think renal cat food is slightly more expensive than the same brands "normal" recipes, but not by a lot.

I ordered some trial packs off zooplaplus, because I know there will be something she refuses to eat.
