Cat laboured breathing?

Our cat seems to be be breathing oddly this morning. He is eating, drinking, going to the toilet and otherwise just like himself, but it looks like his chest is heaving/sucking in when he breathes. Has anyone ever experienced this?? Just wondering if it’s an immediate Vet issue!

Is he seeming better today op

Did they check his heart? Or lungs? I hope any good vet would and hope it isn’t heart trouble.

@stella1know
They did check his heart and lungs, he had an xray and they kept him in for quite a bit for observation. She even got a second opinion! He’s got antibiotics now; they think his airways were irritated and inflamed. The strange breathing has stopped. So hopefully all good.

@OohKittens he has been himself, the pills have made him vom but otherwise good :)
