I put some ice cubes in the washing up bowl and put it on the floor for my master to play with do scientific test with .
He put to much weight on the edge it tipped over and he got wet !

He stalked of and spent 10 mins washing the offending melted water out of his fur

TheLongRider · 27/06/2020 00:52

Mine has got the hump because I moved him from my lap to go to bed. He tried digging his claws into my bare leg, so that went down well. Angry

Allergictoironing · 27/06/2020 02:32

I have been failing to get to sleep in my oven of a bedroom, so have come downstairs to the (much cooler) study to use the big PC in front of a desk fan. Kitties sleep in the living room (by their choice), but a sliver of light has come through the door. Girlcat managed to ignore this, but Boycat has left his sleeping place on "my" end of the sofa and taken to the biggest igloo in a sulk.

Toddlerteaplease · 27/06/2020 09:58

Giving Cheddar eye drops!

Toddlerteaplease · 27/06/2020 10:00

Although she doesn't bear grudges, and never uses her claws so I'm still alive. Though I'm a bit worried about the look on her face after giving them.

DCat1 is cross that he was an hour late being let out today because the staff slept in Shock

Fluffycloudland77 · 27/06/2020 12:30

I remember that look of “have you quite finished? Some of us are trying to sleep”.

Unbelievable when you know their going to poke you in the mouth at 4:30am.

coconutcoconutcrack · 27/06/2020 13:34

Not this morning but last night.

I was watching TV a bit later than I usually do. Overlord 1 thought that was highly unacceptable and made it very clear that I was to come to bed immediately. Overlord 1 sleeps on my bed next to me and likes a fuss before I go to sleep.

I had 10 minutes left of the programme, but it's kind of hard to watch anything when the cat is infront of the TV meowing at you.

SparkyTheCat · 27/06/2020 14:55

@coconutcoconutcrack 😂 that reminds me of a now sadly deceased furry overlord, who would sit in the hallway at 10pm prompt every night and howl until the humans dutifully went to bed.

coconutcoconutcrack · 27/06/2020 16:08

Doing a jigsaw puzzle.

Overlord 1 has a somewhat different view on this.......

i have a pack of spot-on flea treatments. he knows the sound of the box, he knows the sound of the pack, he can sense a tiny plastic tube from 3 rooms away.

we are literally engaged in a game of cat-and-mouse as every time i think he’s asleep and move my hand even slightly, he gets the hunted look and dives under the sofa.

i love him, but oh god the drama.

UncleShady · 27/06/2020 16:15

Ze1tGeist we also have the issue with the spot on - hates it, why is that?

My only failure today, although it's a big one, is my inability to make the weather the correct temperature and humidity.

Bargebill19 · 27/06/2020 19:12

I put the hoover on.

Enough said.

Piggypiggyoinkoink · 27/06/2020 21:27

I hoovered too. AND moved stuff. You’d think I had murdered her first born Shock

Bargebill19 · 27/06/2020 21:45

@Piggypiggyoinkoink

You MOVED stuff???? How very dare you!!

One of the rattly felt mice went up my hoover. The cats revenge was that the mouse has now stopped said hoover from hoovering. The job of unblocking the hose has been delegated to second slave aka DH. (It’s a you tube job to work out how to get the hose of ... press a then lever b then twist this that and oh I gave up )

Supersimkin2 · 27/06/2020 22:57

0.5ml of eardrops.

TW2013 · 27/06/2020 23:07

Went out for the day to visit sick relative. First time they have been home alone all day since March. Totally unreasonable behaviour. I think that they like the new normal. Well except when they don't and want some peace. They don't mind me being around because I always wfh but sometimes it gets too much for one of them. I swear he can count because if we are all in a room he will turn around and leave, if one of us, any one of us is missing he will be fine.

Gingaaarghpussy · 27/06/2020 23:15

I moved to make myself a coffee. It's not like she had to move herself because she was sat next to me, but the look she gave me, I'm like, I didn't do anything, nobody said you had to move!

slipperywhensparticus · 27/06/2020 23:20

I lent on the sink to brush my teeth he POKED ME so he could go sit on the windowsill and watch me

Jayneisagirlsname · 28/06/2020 11:43

I began tidying quietly in the room where he was napping. Obviously unacceptable so he had to stomp off into DD's room. Clearly he's having a terrible time getting back to sleep...

I have put clean pillowcases on the pillows - I disturbed his royal highness in the process.
I then upset the kittens by changing their kitty litter and providing fresh food - they stalled off to find mum...

Allergictoironing · 29/06/2020 08:53

This morning I deliberately stopped the Morning Bed Cuddles with Boycat before he moved himself, just because after nearly half an hour I was about to wet the bed (having not yet had my wake up pee).

DarkMintChocolate · 30/06/2020 11:34

Black Cat had diarrhoea on Sunday. As she is a medium hair, her rear end was quite a mess. DH and I managed to cut some of the matted fur of her back legs on Sunday night. However yesterday, I knew I had to sort out her bottom - I sat her down in a sink of warm water! After a few ministrations of cotton wool balls soaked in warm water, I was able to cut the rest of the matted fur off!

Needless to say, she did not like all this! She struggled and tried to get out of the bathroom, but did not bite or scratch me!

Anyway, this morning smelling much nicer, she woke me with nose pushing and kneading! All must be forgiven!

madcatladyforever · 30/06/2020 15:21

Washing poo out of her rear paw.

Not carrying her upstairs quick enough - she has to be carried now she is 19 even though she can do the stairs perfectly well.

Making her wait 1 second for her dinner, it should have been there at once!

I am a very poor excuse for a human being.
