Am I The only who worries if idiot cat hasn’t been out much but then also worries if he has been out too long?

No not the only one! Dcat2 occasionally doesn't turn up for his breakfast (he prefers to sleep outside at night in hot weather) and I spend my entire day at work fretting about him and imagining the worst. I arrive home at 4pm and there he is, all hungry and disgruntled Hmm

When ours was alive our most used phrase was have you seen the cat.

Mind you, I was a rebellious teenager and caused my parents no end of worry so this is my karma Grin

Yep I'm the same! If they don't spend enough time outside they're little bastards in the night, tearing around the house. But I hate having them out after dark, because they get into scraps with next door's beast of a cat and I worry about them getting hit by a car in the dark.

At the moment they have a curfew (it's winter here and getting dark early, so the cat flap doesn't let them out after 7.30pm or before 5.30am). I often check the cat flap app and our cat cam during the day to see if they've been in and out, I find it reassuringBlush

Sure cat flap with the app is your friend! Doesnt work in hot weather unfortunately when the back door is open all day but the ability to log on and see when each cat went in and out is brilliant.

Being able to tell when they come and go is very reassuring.

A GPS tracker would be fantastic as well just to see where they disappear to for hours on end
