Kitten poo

Ive had her 4 days now. She's nearly 9 weeks and due at the vets Wednesday for her first jabs.

She's peeing well, eating well (wet only), won't eat dry currently. Feeding her Felix kitten as that's what I was told she was on when I first when to see her and put deposit down.

Then when I picked her up I was told she was being fed raw mince.

I just have been feeding her the Felix since I got her but her poo is quite runny. She's not going every 5 minutes but maybe 3 times a day. A couple of times the poo has started coming just before she's got in the tray. She doesn't seem uncomfortable in her stomach or anything. Seems absolutely perfect otherwise.

Obviously I'll speak to the vet Wednesday but just wondering if any advice in the mean time please?

Thank you 😊 any ideas what I can do with a massive unopened bag of the Applaws dry? I bought it from zooplus but not sure it can be returned?

Applaws is a good dry food. Why wouldn't you use it?

dementedpixie · 26/06/2020 11:46

or do you mean you won't be giving dry now? Sell it on fb?

dementedpixie · 26/06/2020 11:49

Zooplus will accept a return if you are doing it within 14 days of receipt

She won't eat it?

Also not sure I can return it as I no longer have the invoice with the return info on which is required, as stated on their website

I will look at trying the wainwright's dry along with the wet. I do want her to try and eat dry food too!

Hello again!

So I managed to get her on to wainwright's dry and wet.

She really loves the dry and does eat the wet but I don't feel like she's particularly keen as often most is wasted.

I thought I'd try something else with a more gravier substance as the wainwright's is quite dry for a wet and she's started to get upset stomach again, only one so far it's not constantly. It's Iams that I've tried.

Just wondering if anyone else has this issue and can recommend? I will keep persevering with the wainwright's wet as I don't really want her to be on dry constantly.

I'm wondering if maybe I should try the poached chicken as someone suggested up thread. Is that really healthy in the long term though?

Obviously I'll speak to the vet if I get concerned but she's right as rain.

She doesn't want to seem to eat an awful lot. The packets say she should eat 3 pouches a day but she's lucky if she eats more than 1.
