My friends cat. I don't think she's got fleas. Her daughter is white so it's easy to see the dirt on them. And I would assume if she's not got them her mum won't have them either. Her ears are looking a bit pink so could it be sunburn? Or stress? Can't get near her for a close look at her.

And yes she's as grumpy as she looks. Though I think a lot of her cat tutu Fr is actually fear.

does she go outside? Cat fight?

Toddlerteaplease · 21/06/2020 02:29

Yes she does, there is a visiting cat that comes into their house and helps itself to their dinner, but apparently she's not bothered by it.

My friend had the cheek not to believe me when I spotted it. Then his secretary said that he and the other secretary had both noticed it they say before. Hmm

Looks like feline miliary dermatitis. Needs to see a vet

Toddlerteaplease · 21/06/2020 03:23

Thanks, my first thought was a flea allergy. But we are pretty sure she's not got fleas. Not that we can get near her for a good look.

She's desperately needs a professional groom as her coat is very thick and she's still wearing her winter coat. She looks very uncomfortable. I've finally managed to get my friend to let me take them both to a groomer. So hopefully that will make them feel better. He's managing to get little hits off their coats. But not enough and she hates it.

If it's flea allergy there don't need to be enough fleas to be visible to cause a reaction - one is enough - so if the flea treatments aren't up to date then they need doing. However flea allergy is usually seen first round the base of the tail, and then other parts of the body - I've never seen it there.

I think she does need to see a vet.

I've nagged him to flea treat her. As a flea allergy was my first thought as we had a car who had one. I also suggested he giver her 1/4 tablet if Piriton to help with the itching and that has really helped. I suspect she's also incredibly uncomfortable as she is still wearing her winter coat. She hates being groomed and looks like Shirley from Shaun the sheep. She's been booked into a groomer but not until next month.
Her human adores her. But they are his first pets at the age of 70. So he's a bit clueless!
