Just posting for info really, does anyone have one? Do you like or have you had any issues. Was it easy to get your cats to use it, my cats are 1 and 7 and I'm a little worried that the older cat may not get the hang of it , he's quite stubborn x

We've just had one fitted / quality and set up is great, very easy. Our stubborn 1yr old boy has just got the hang of it with a combination of tactics (dreamiest, feather toys and taping it open etc).

Thanks, I will try that- he's really stubborn. He still hasn't forgiven me last for us moving house last year x

On my second in 3 years. The first one broke after about 2 years, the microchip function stopped working. We then got the dualscan version and it works fine but seems to eat batteries and our indoor cat has managed to get out twice so it's possible if the batteries run low it might lose function. I probably wouldn't buy another but there's limited choice for dual microchip ones.

Oh also they learnt to use it just fine, and they get to know the click when they put their heads in means it's open

We have one and our two cats got the hang of it quite quickly (they are rescues so don't know if they'd come across one before!) I put their food the other side of it to persuade them through it, they were wary at first and were a bit suspicious of it for a week or so, but no issues since then.

Thank you all, you have reassured me! I have booked a fitting appointment for next Friday. He really looks like a big brute but he's the most sensitive delicate creature, hates any form of change x
