Mine has just come in proudly miaowing with a dead baby duckling hanging from her mouth. Just been out and gave them loads of food to try and make up for it

Half dead seagull
Many blackbirds
Piece of garlic bread
Live mouse which she dropped and I spent morning trying to catch the poor thing
Lots of moles, she brings them then quickly eats them, must like to just show off her dinner

Oh dear. Until this year we thought our lad was a useless hunter, thankfully he is way worse than yours!
Previously, we had feathers, a piece of banana and some balled up foil. Earlier this year he brought a live mouse home with a broken leg we assumed that's how he caught it so easily.
He then brough a length of flexible tube back which looked like he'd dug it up. We then had a dead blackbird, couple of days later a chicken nugget then a small mouse (uninjured).

Live bats. Several live bats. No idea how she gets them. Not fun when you are sitting down minding your own business when a bat emerges from somewhere and starts flying and swooping around.

Notsurehow2handlethis · 09/06/2020 20:24

Mine (when we lived in the country) dragged in a dead rabbit through the cat flap, I caught her trying to get it upstairs. I can only assume it was a gift for my youngest son, thank goodness I realised before he found it nestled amongst his cuddly toys on his bed!

Mine's an indoor cat but my mum loves to tell the story of when our old cat bought in a bat!

Mine does try, we sometimes find dead spiders. You can tell it was her because she rips the legs off.

One morning I got out of bed, and she ran up to me and basically spat a spider at my feet. And it was still alive. I'm not sure if that was a gift or a punishment.

Nothing quite like the awful squelch of a dead vole under bare feet on the kitchen floor in the middle of the night.

This week an entire family of robins bought it. First was the young male. The parents were really pissed off and started dive bombing the cat. So she killed them too. Evil.

UncleShady · 09/06/2020 20:26

Ours are all about the mice at the moment. They are happy just to leave them in the kitchen rather than bring them upstairs though. And there's nothing like watching a magpie ripping a dead mouse to pieces in the back garden while you are eating breakfast Envy

RandomMess · 09/06/2020 20:28

Baby squirrels and injured adult squirrels were the worst, fortunately we don't live in a red squirrel area!

RandomMess · 09/06/2020 20:29

Funniest was dead rat still in rat trap...

Fluffycloudland77 · 09/06/2020 20:34

So many thoughtful, generous cats. Catching a live bat must be really hard.

Puppymania · 09/06/2020 20:43

Dead mice, live mice, live magpie (that was fun early one morning) but the best was a heart which a neighbour had given their dog. Left in the middle of our lounge floor Confused

A leaf
A crisp packet

Other animals are "FRIENDS mama, not food"
If he sees a spider he waves a paw at it then goes back to sleep. If he actually brought me a bird or mouse, I would take him to the vet and I'm not even joking Grin

Wish my cat would follow your cats good good example a

We have a constant stream of critters being brought in. Mainly birds, skinks (little lizardy things) and butterflies.

However in the last 2 weeks we've had 2 live mice (one lived in the kitchen for a week until Boycat re-caught it Angry) and my least favourite of all... A giant worm as thick as my index finger. Not kidding. I looked it up and it's a rare giant earthworm native to where we live. It looked like a writhing pile of intestines 🤢 It was the foulest thing I've ever seen in my life.
