Cat acting weird

My 19 year old much loved kitty girl is doing really well. Eating, drinking. No health problems at all. Has had recent check up.
She has been so clingy today I haven't been able to do anything so I've given up and I've just spent the day cuddling her.
She's purring loads and kneading but I can't do anything.
I went to the loo earlier and she was wailing.
She's now snoozing on my lap perfectly happy. I'm hoping it's just an elderly deaf cat neurotic day and nothing else.

I'm sorry but I think you should run this past your vet. Purring can be a sign of pain. I hope she's okay.

Purring can be a sign of pain, especially in an elderly cat. Your cat is 19, so you have to be prepared that her health is declining. I'm sorry.

I've got her booked in for tomorrow. Today she's completely back to normal, off roaming the garden and doing her usual cat routine things. I'm wondering if she just had a tummy ache yesterday, she is prone to buts of diarrhoea.

Glad she's perked up. A sudden change to needing comfort like that is not a good sign, hopefully just guts as you say.

Thanks, well she was disembowelling her catnip banana earlier with her back legs going like the clappers so I reckon she's ok, I'll take her the vets tomorrow anyway for a check up.
