Peach cats ears

We have a new peach cat and want to know if I need to put sun cream on her ears.
We had a white cat years ago and every summer I'd suncream his ears, he'd go roll in the dirt coating his ears in a nice protective layer until winter.
I did this as my vet advised that white cats are prone to sunburn and cancerous tumour on their ears.

Peach owners do you do this?

One of my cats has white ears and we use a product called FiltaBac from Amazon - if we don't cover his ears they get burnt. And yes, he does come back in from the garden with grubby ears

Thank you, used to just use kids factor 50 or zinc ointment so I'll have a look at the stuff you use.

Please do. We bought our first house from a couple who had a tabby cat with white ears. He was a sunbather and had to have his ear flaps removed due to cancer.

We used to use a kids coloured stick on our white cats ears. Fortunately no one ever told him it was purple!
