No real point to this thread other than I feel sad and worried.
A neighbours dog escaped today and attached our lovely cat on another neighbours driveway. I heard the commotion and my neighbour screaming but thought it was 2 dogs fighting. Apparently it dragged her by her backlegs. She managed to get away but now we can't find her Sad
I'm hoping she'll make her way back home very soon but I have no idea how badly she's injured.
I'll be out looking for her again in the morning, phoning the vets in case someone finds her etc.
Please keep your fingers crossed that we find her or she comes home soon so we can get her treated.

Thankfully she made her way home about an hour ago. I was so shocked when she appeared that I burst in to tears!
She's eaten loads and now having cuddles.
Amazingly she doesn't appear to have any external injuries but seems in a little discomfort with her back legs. Off to the vet tomorrow for a check up.
So, so happy have her home. I was really expecting the worst.

Sounds like she was too scared to come out before now. Poor little thing. Plenty of warmth and available water and vet tomorrow seems a good plan.

How is your cat today? Hope the trip to the vets went well Shufflebumnessie.

Shufflebumnessie · 28/05/2020 13:00

@nettie434 so sorry I haven't replied, only just seen your message.
The vet said no major injuries but probably severe bruising. He prescribed aanti-inflammatory medication.
She's also ripped out several claws and damaged her toes which are obviously causing her quite a lot of pain.
She stayed in the garden for at least days after it happened, which is incredibly unusual for her. She's started venturing out a bit more now (I'm not overly happy about that!).
Thanks for asking!

So glad that it is good news Shufflebumnessie. She is clearly a very determined and brave girl! I suppose it's good news in terms of her health that she's venturing further, even though it's more stressful for you.
