We have 3 already. We can't afford more. At least 2 of ours will hate it - but maybe they'll love it and it will heal all their hearts and make them love each other.

Someone down the road has kittens and she is looking for homes. Stop me.... Iwant all 4 of them. They are so sweeeeeeeet and they go meeeep Grin

Oh @Drogonssmile, moggies rarely bully a Bengal.

I feel sorry for the rag doll I saw on Instagram being played with by a Bengal kitten, the Bengal meant business and I wonder if they’ll rehome it when it’s pissing all over the walls because living with another cats stressing it out.

Put some blinkers on for a minute and block out these Enablers Wink

You might end up with 2 or even 3 very Judgey adult cats .
You'd have to keep the kittens indoors , wait until you can get them neutered and vaccinated ..whenever that might be .

If you get male kittens and they start to spray , you might not be able to neuter them early enough to stop this becoming an ingrained (very smelly) habit .

Why has this near neighbour allowed her female to breed? Is it an accidental litter ?

I can 100% see the appeal , especially if it means these tiny meeping kittens are going from home-to-new home and by-passing being shunted about . But , your Resident Cats might not get along.

I have resisted any new cats , my pair are established and happy and the applecart does not want to be upset .
I'm sure I could get a new one (fairly easily ) I've had a Homecheck when I got them and a follow up visit in December . But I'm sure my cats would put in a bad word about me Grin

(DH was all you got five guinea-pigs and they didn't get on . Yes but they were in 2 groups , a 3+2 , and I could manage them. Cats are completely different )

And yes , they are ££ .

It's a lovely thought but Head not Heart . Flowers

Windyatthebeach, that is dd's ambition!

No, I'm not getting a kitten, or kittens. DH has got his sensible head on

Thank you all for your lovely help - if that's what you call it! It stalled me for long enough. This time.......Grin

70isalimit, I have been very disapproving of people who don't neuter their cats. I'm assuming this litter is accidental, as the owner is not a particularly knowledgeable person (and I'm not sure she gives a shit, tbh). She's not actually a friend, just someone I know who lives nearby.

She knows we're cat people, and sent me pics via fb. They are teeny tiny little things. They are so cute. They go meep.

It's really hard to resist; but I have.

Is she asking for money for them?.

Hmrc should go through the kittens for sale on pets4homes et al & go after people who sell repeat litters. I bet there’s queens on there who’ve had half a dozen first litters.

Sad

That’s not sensible that’s unreasonable behaviour from your DH and you can include that in your divorce when you serve him the papers. What’s 4 more when you already have 3 especially as they go ‘meep’. Grin

Jux · 16/05/2020 21:23

I've told him he's a Blue Meanie, but he doesn't care.

I'm sure my DH would love a couple more cats ( those CPL adverts with that tiny ginger kitten walking along the street ...Sad ) but I've said "Nope" ( and the cats back me up on this !)

He cannot divorce me - I am the only driver and I cook.
(I hold all the cards here )
