On phone to my bf. Vitamins out on kitchen counter ready to take after call. Barbara in corner happily licking her chops and I've just realised I'm one capsule short - the fish oil one. Does anyone know if these are ok for cats? I'm assuming from the name/content they are ok but am a bit worried!

Ah per Google she should be ok. Might have a runny bum. Now I know why they both try to get to my supplements when they are out, they smell the fish

Your cat is named Barbara?

littlewoollypervert · 11/05/2020 22:08

Her sister is Margot

They're gorgeous! She'll be ok. Possible trots as oil is rich but she'll be ok. I give my cats a spoon of olive oil each week. The vet recommended it for their joints, hairball prevention and skin. I put a tiny bit on the brush when they're being groomed too

I opened this thread because I too have a cat named Barbara Grin

Well, he’s Bob, but he’s taken on a new identity and is now Barbara...

I’m sure your Barbara will be fine OP.

Ah, Margot and Barbara. They are clearly living The Good Life.

littlewoollypervert · 11/05/2020 22:19

Oh Bob/Barbara is quite regal!

BlackAmericanoNoSugar you got it!
I had a lovely fantasy about digging the veg garden while they snoozed on a wall nearby in the sun, but they are house cats due to the building site behind me, and Barbara is afraid of the Outside...

Fish oil is good for them Grin

Hope Barbara hasn't given herself the runs!

I've topped up the litter trays...

She will be fine, I used to give my cats fish oil on the advice of a vet nurse.

I say used to because one would clean himself immediately after having it and smelled fishy!

RandomMess · 11/05/2020 23:21

I'm impressed with Barbara's nose skills, one of mine doesn't even move to investigate fish pie being made. or salmon fillets...

Only thing he notices is tinned tuna!

RandomMess · 13/05/2020 11:52

How is Barbara today?

littlewoollypervert · 23/05/2020 22:30

@Randomess no issues at all, panic over! She's asleep on the bed beside me, the fluffiest girl ever
