Can you overfeed a kitten?

I recently got a new kitten, socially distanced pick up Grin and I'm currently feeding her a couple of kitten food pouches a day and sometimes some dry food too, is this too much? She always seems hungry and I don't want to overfeed/underfeed her.

She may need worming. I leave good quality high meat content dry food down for my 8 month old kitten and he grazes on it. He is Not keen on wet food and has less than a pouch a day.

I was shocked at how much a growing kitten can eat, at least the same amount as an adult cat.

Let it eat as much as it wants!

If you post a picture we can coo over her tell you if she looks healthy.

How old is kitten? I have 3 older kittens who are 6 months old now. The femsles do not eat much but the male kitten eats a lot. I put down 1 tin of meat snd 1 pouches for breakfast with 1/2 kitten milk and 1/2 water. 1tin of meat, some kitten milk and crunchies down for lunch and 1 tin and a pouch for dinner and water. Last thing at night I leave out crunchies and kitten milk. It is always gone when I go down in the morning. They all go for the milk first.

Probably not enough, mine ate 400g of wet food a day as a kitten.

I would never try to restrict what kittens eat. They are growing. Unless they start turning into little barrels on legs, in which case they may have a problem. I don''t think I've ever seen a properly fat kitten though.

Ok thanks all, I will feed her more in that case! She is 4 months!
