Think Cheddar has something in up her nose.

She keeps sneezing. And is very jumpy. Can't see anything obvious, but her nose is tiny. Any ideas how to shift whatever is annoying her?

Oh no. Has she been out and got grass seed up there or maybe a bit of biscuit.

Toddlerteaplease · 03/05/2020 22:39

She's not been out for a couple of days. A bit of biscuit is probably the most likely culprit, now you mention it. And actually I think it's come on post evening feed. Hopefully she'll be able to shift it her self.

I just want to suction it out. Think my colleagues might have something to say if I turned up at work with her! Though we are an ENT ward, and they are bored!

My Simba got a blade of grass stuck up his nose once, he kept sneezing and then sniffing it back in. Luckily it came out after a few hours.

When we phoned the vet for advice (of course on a Sunday night) she recommended salt water to make him sick but I didn't want to do that.

Does Cheddar's squishy face make her more prone to things getting trapped up there?

Toddlerteaplease · 03/05/2020 22:48

She's never had an issue before. If it's sill bothering her in the morning, I'll get some saline spray to try and shift it. My colleagues are happy to admit her to my ward and her ENT to scope her. GrinGrin

Yesterday I cleaned my cat's eye because it was gunky and found a tiny spider in the middle of the gunk. Bluergh! I don't know how it got in there. He goes outside so he probably picked it up in the grass.

I hope Cheddar recovers quickly.

MrsCatE · 03/05/2020 22:50

Could even be a bit of litter. I often have to pick bits out of BastardCat's eyes or nose; I still have some workable fingers - proof you don't need 8 digits plus opposable thumbs.

Toddlerteaplease · 03/05/2020 23:12

Good pint. Their litter is like sand. And she does like to fling it about. She sounds like she's mining for diamonds.

How on earth did I end up with the 3 most troublesome cats, in the history of cats? Good job they are worth it!

She seems to have shifted it. I did not fancy another trip to the vet today!

She probably realised that they've changed the May Day Bank Holiday to Friday, so it wouldn't be the emergency vet after all Grin

Toddlerteaplease · 04/05/2020 13:10

I wouldn't put it past her!

How is she now?

Toddlerteaplease · 06/05/2020 10:42

She was fine by the next morning! Back to her usually cheesy self!

She was just testing you ...

Toddlerteaplease · 06/05/2020 11:17

Yes. And I fully agree with @allergictoironing that, when she realised the bank holiday was on Friday, he decided it wasn't worth her while.
