kitten lost tiny bit of weight

any advice on how concerned to be? she is 4-5 months and used to weigh 4 3/4 pounds but has recently dropped back to 4 1/2 pounds since we went to the vets for her first jabs. she seems happy but doesn't eat huge amounts - max 2 kitten pouches a day and ignores her biscuits entirely - but she drinks cat milk and loves it so I was hoping that gave her a few more cals.

How concerned should I be? I wondered if maybe it was a growth spurt as she does seem a bit longer. I'm just worried because she has a small hernia and is due to get it removed when she is spayed in 2 weeks but she needs to be over 2kg so she can't lose any more :( the vet weighed her to be nearly 5 pounds (2.25k) so my scales might be slightly off, but her weight has definitely reduced!

Mine always have a Winter weight and Summer weight; they get a bit slimmer in the Summer because they are more active. We had a run of sunny weather.
As you have your objective of getting her up to weight for surgery, I would feed her quality kitten food as this is a bit richer and also maybe give her some treats of tuna.

Maybe less of the cat milk as it might take away her appetite?

I did wonder that about the cat milk but also then I think it's extra calories and she's so fussy about food! She does eat really well sometimes and other days I am pretty much begging her to eat. She eats kitten food so hopefully getting the nutrients she needs. I'll stick at it, she has had a lot of energy lately with the sunny days like you say, so maybe it's just a blip!
