Sick kitten

Newish cat owner here. My 6 month old kitten didn't eat yesterday. Today she ate but was subsequently sick and she now has diarrhoea. Should I feed her normal food if she will eat it (wet food plus kibble) or substitute it with something lighter? I have some white fish in the freezer. Other than a tummy upset, she seems to be quite happy.

Boiled chicken or fish for 24 hours would be a good idea. But if she becomes ill in herself (lethargic for example) speak to a vet.

@thecatneuter - would you give just fish or include some brown rice (my dog has fish and rice when it has been unwell)

@thecatneuterer - a complete side issue but when do you think vets are going to be allowed to spay cats again. Mine was due to spayed earlier this month, but obviously that didn't happen

Yes it's a good idea to include some rice.

And on the spaying I wish I knew. Some posters on here have had their cats spayed recently and I'm not sure how they've managed it.
