Stressed out cat - what can I do?

Hi,

We moved house a month ago and one of our cats, who is a rescue and spent the first 2 years with us peeing in every space she could find, seems to be stressed out. She doesn't act it in herself but she has started spraying in various areas of the house and in the past two days has started pooing by the front door during the night.

I know there's been a lot of changes for her recently - new house, and because of stock shortages we have not been able to get their usual food or litter, but those are kind of out of our control so what can we do help her and stop my house stinking?!

Try Cystease sprinkled over her food, and add water to her wet food so she gets extra fluid into her.

Sounds like stress cystitis.

Also lots of play time to burn off nervous energy.

Feliway or similar may help her, and mine respond well to Zylkene if they get stressed.

Poor little girl. Cats have surprisingly long memories for traumatic events (after 4 years of being indoor only, mine still hide during very heavy rain) so the move may have triggered her anxiety of before her rescue. All you can really do is continue to give her the love and reassurance that you do already.
