Caught cat chewing a cigarette

Stupid cat will eat anything! I caught her next to a wet, chewed cigarette in the garden (none of us smoke so no idea where it came from!). The vet I just spoke to over the phone says there’s not much they can do but to watch out for any neurological changes and take her straight in. He also said it could be fatal .

Has anyone ever experienced this? Or is she the only cat stupid (and greedy) enough to think a cigarette would be a nice snack?

My oriental cats eat plastic: cellophane, sellotape, plastic wrapping if they can get get a thin enough bit to swallow. Cats are weird.
