Cat proofing garden - does your cat mind?

Hello, I'm looking for some advice from owners that have cat proofed their garden for their cats which used to roam - we are looking at cat proofing ours, I'm just worried how it will affect our boy as he normally doesn't stay in our garden. Does anyone have any experience of this?

Mine never used to go far but he doesn't seem to be bothered that he can't go anywhere now.

DH catproofed the garden 3 years ago and has just redone it this week as his first go was only ever supposed to be a prototype. Harry was in the garden with him and made no attempt to get out when the netting was down.

I catproofed mine.

She’s been ok but moans a bit about how she’s like to go down the road and has lost some muscle tone.

She forgets that she was beaten up by neighbour toms and that’s why I’m keeping her safe.
