I have a cat visitor that is insisting on staying at ours - after much trawling I've found the owner - quite close by, and informed them he is in our garden, they just said he would make his way home they were sure- but 3 days later he is still here.
I have cats of my own but they aren't bothered by him, today the weather is warm so I want the doors open - he has wandered in and helped himself to cat food.
Do I just let him stay? I feel like I've stolen him, but then again I've contacted his owners so they know where he is.

If they know where he is and are happy he'll come home when he wants too. Then I'd leave him too it. But don't feed or give him treats.

Maybe his home has young DC who annoy him and he's come for some peace and quiet while everyone's home?

I have young dc too although they do leave the cats alone.
My cats are used to having dry food left out - I feel sorry for them if I need to take it up in order not to feed him
