My cat is trying to kill me!

Not really but she has caused me so much stress this week. It's so out of character for her. She was a bit cranky with her sister last weekend and wouldn't come in for the night like she usually does.
On Monday morning she came home. She was really slow and lethargic but she didn't seem to be injured and was eating and drinking a little. I kept a close eye on her. She was like that til Wednesday when she suddenly perked up. She took off that morning and didn't come home all day and night.
I was so worried but she turned up on Friday, absolutely starving. She isn't normally affectionate but she's so purry and loving since she came back.
The kids went out this morning and came back in frantic because she had found a tin can somewhere and got her head stuck.
I had to chase her around with a towel, pounce on her and wrap her up so we and I could free her.
She's never been any bother before. I hope she settles down.

Sorry to ask, bit is there any chance she could be pregnant? Sometimes they behave a little strangely when they are. If she's not, it's difficult to know what she's up to. Any chance you can follow her when she goes out? Not easy, I know.

Has she had enough of you all being at home all the time. She might be finding it a bit much. Particularly if you have youngish children.

Poor thing and Shock with the tincan , must've been terrifying for her (and you)

Have there been any cases of cat poisoning ( if you've got a 'NextDoo' ap there might be something ) Unfortunately there are some right sods who will poison cats especially now they'll be out in their gardens more .
If she is sick at all, you can check if she regurgitates anything. A few years ago someone was lacing chunks of ham with poison.

And anti freeze if people are doing their own car repairs , it is a magnet for cats but toxic (and many people let it flow into drains )

My 2yo male has always brought in feathers . Now he wafts off from late morning till supper then breezes back. I have no idea where he's off to . I suspect a fenced off bit of garden. Full of magpies judging by the feather collection Hmm

Thanks for the replies. She's neutered so not pregnant. She spends a lot of time outside so I don't think she notices that we are always home.
I did wonder about poisoning. She really seemed poorly for a few days but she's fine now. She's eating loads though.
She is a good hunter so I wonder if she ate a mouse that had eaten poison or something.
The tin can thing was awful. I was terrified she'd run off before we could free her but she obviously knew we would help so she didn't.
