Are your cats in proportion?

Yes, this is how bored I am! 😹

Dcat1: short body and short legs
Dcat2: long body and long legs
Dcat3: long body and short legs (also walks like a gorilla)
Dcat4: long body and short legs but he's only a baby so his legs might catch up (cute little barrel chest though)

Please humour me and don't tell me I have completely lost the plot 😳😅

Cat 1 is lithe, agile, and finely proportioned. Cat 2 looks like she went through that transposition machine in The Fly with a maggot. I love them both very much.

Toddlerteaplease · 06/04/2020 16:48

Mine both have very short legs and 'cobby' bodies. My parents cat has very long gangly legs.

Allergictoironing · 06/04/2020 17:10

Long, lithe, sinuous bodies and medium legs. Girlcat has a normal length tail, Boycat's is very long indeed and if straight touches the ground. They are litter mates as far as we can tell, as both are a rare colour (smoke black)

Allergictoironing · 06/04/2020 17:10

Oh and Boycat has a long nose, Girlcat's is typical length.

MashedPotatoBrainz · 06/04/2020 17:12

Mine are perfectly proportioned but are huge mutant cats. I have to take them to the vets in a small dog crate as the cat crates are too small.

Elieza · 06/04/2020 17:15

Mine has yet to grow into her ears. She’s old so it ain’t gonna happen. Grin

fantasmasgoria1 · 06/04/2020 17:17

My cat is a year old, black and has short hair. She is slim but a biggish cat. At the vets she is classed as a large cat. She is roughly 8lbs perhaps a bit more. She's in good proportion all over.

SpoonBlender · 06/04/2020 17:28

Our three are all cat shaped. For their first three years the sibling pair were tiny-headed idiots but they've grown out of being tiny-headed. The young tortie has a slighly short tail by an inch or so.

purrswhileheeats · 06/04/2020 17:32

My late tabby girl looked Jennifer Saunders' character in Ab Fab, big fat bum and a wobbly stomach that swayed when she walked (despite my 13 year battle to keep her weight down Hmm) If a cat could have cellulite..

Cat 1 huge in every direction. Long legs and long tail. Biggest moggy l have ever met
Cat 2 perfectly formed and proportioned. But on the smaller size
Cat 3 lots of people think is a kitten but is 6 years old. Small legs and body, quite slim

@MashedPotatoBrainz so is one of mine. Cat crates are too small for him

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 06/04/2020 17:36

Basil is magnificent and definitely in proportion.
Sybil is small but perfectly formed.
Karl is quite leggy - looks like a little horse.

And then there's Lenny...

LynetteScavo · 06/04/2020 17:38

One of my cats is perfectly in proportion. He knows exactly how perfect he is.

My other cat is far too long. He can sleep twisted 360', it's very odd. But when he sits down on his back legs with his from legs straight, his back is really rounded and hunched because he's so long.

Yesterday a cat with a too short tail came to visit.

Icare1234 · 06/04/2020 17:40

I need pictures! Cuter the better.

maybelou · 06/04/2020 17:53

my cat's in proportion (he's big) except for his tail which is HUGE and looks way too big for him 😂😂

minipie · 06/04/2020 17:58

Min is perfectly proportioned in body. She has a rather long nose but it makes her look elegant, if slightly judgmental Grin.

SorrelBlackbeak · 06/04/2020 18:00

My dear boy cat is perfectly proportioned but a complete lardass. He is huge and ginger and has massively long fur - he's more or less Persian length. We think e might be part Maine coon as he loves water 🧐. He's just basically a cushion, sometimes a puddle.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 06/04/2020 22:06

My two ( both jet black smooth coated 2yo)

Male cat has amazingly long legs and a slightly chiselled face , like one of the Egyptian Goddess cats . He sits with his paws neatly in a line

Female cat sways along with her tail kinked to the side . Softer shape face . Like a tiny bat .

Both have shed their winter fur (and fat) and look light sleek panthers again, after bristling that the vet suggested they were "heavy" .

He is Spanish I think. He must've mixed up the words "heavy" and "lovely" Wink
