Older cat - unwell?

Hiya!
My lovely old girl will be 19 this year.

She has been sick a few times in the past week but not regularly however she won't stop drinking and today she's been at her bowl every 5 mins which isn't like her.

She is also making like a growling sound when she is breathing though she isn't actually growling.

I've made a vet appointment but they can't see her before Wednesday.

Do I need to push for an emergency?

Did you tell the vet about the growling sound when breathing? That's what makes it sound to me like an emergency, but then I'm not a vet.

I think you had better get her seen as an emergency as she sounds to be quite poorly. Being sick and constantly at her water bowl may mean she is having kidney problems and a harsh breathing sound is also worrying.
We love them so, don't we?

Yes. You need an emergency appointment.

Thank you. I'm on the phone now.

Thanks for ur support. Vet said she's old and doing well and pointed out "signs " in case we get to the end.
