Our nine years old cat is pissing all over the house, I’m constantly cleaning cat piss from the floor. He has been to the vet and we are waiting for test results back. We tried special products to clean the floor but he wees on top of it. I’m at loss, feeling really down, dirty and oppressed by the smell of cat piss. Thank you for your help

Best things are: diluted bio washing powder, Special Solution from Pets at Home, and citrus Zoflora.

What's the litter tray situation? Have you tried more trays/different trays/trays in different places/different litter?

We had this problem after several years with no issues, and it turned out our cat had bladder stones - she is fine now after having them removed. We used an enzyme spray from pets at home in the meantime but it did really get us down - you have my sympathy.

The house has recovered too if it makes you feel any better - no lasting smell!

Oops its Simple Solution, not Special Solution.

Washing powder mixed with warm water neutralises the smell

I'm having the exact problem with our female cat, although she is not peeing all over the house just next to the cat litter!!!! Trouble is I've got blue lias flagstones and the wee is just soaking into them.

My vet thinks it's behavioural rather than medical because her symptoms haven't got worse which he thinks it would do with a urine infection etc. We put her outside morning and evening, but she will still use the cat litter rather than go outside. Once the cat litter has a couple of wees in it she starts weeing on the floor. It's really getting me down now.

Maybe she wants two trays, some cats do. Which litter are you using?.
