Cat eaten some plastic bag

My 2 year old cat has managed to eat the handle of a nappy sack (well, I’m assuming she has - it’s missing from the bag and she’s always had a thing about licking plastic). She seems fine in herself, but doesn’t use the litter tray and goes to the toilet outside so I can’t check to see if she’s passed it. My plan, apart from moving the nappy bags out of her way, was to ring the vet for advice tomorrow - does this sound reasonable? I’ve got a new baby and my brain is currently not tip top so any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Maia used to eat plastic. I think she once swallowed a sweet wrapper. I kept checking the litter tray, but it was never seen again. She was fine. See how she goes over the next day or so. Or if you have let insurance with a vet phone, you could call them.

Thank you so much, that’s reassuring. She’s just had some of my dinner - tuna steak - and is looking very pleased with herself.
