Slugs and cats

Boycat came and flung himself on my lap today. At some point I realised that on his (very floofy) fummy there was a teeny black slug. I may have shrieked a little bit, he deserted my lap at speed and when he finally stopped running, it was on our bed. When I rather cautiously approached his undercarriage, there was no slug. It doesn't seem to be on the duvet (at least I bloody hope not) but where is it?? And given the wet winter we're having and his tendency to roam outside in long grass, is this going to be an ongoing problem? Help!

Before my cat got scalped he regularly brought in slugs and sometimes tiny snails in his floofy fur

I seem to recall Tom Cox mentioning that his big floofster, Ralph, would have slugs riding on his back and I thought he was exaggerating but clearly not!

I’ve had a hen hitching a ride on my pony’s back before. (How I wished I’d had a camera but it was decades ago before mobile phone cams).

But never a slug on my cat.
Not yet anyway but she’s not too fluffy so perhaps that’s why Grin

Basil has come in with a slug attached to his tail occasionally.

I prefer mice.
