Dcat is 17, one side enlarged kidney, not ate or drank all day, eyes sunk, facaes all over the home when dd got in from school and lethargic and back end stiff as hasn’t had her metacam for her arthritis......
Attempting to do bloods now but didn’t let them even take her temperature....
She appeared fine yesterday 😢
(Battery low but had to say to someone)

I am so sorry. We lost our lovely Ginger girl on Friday evening, she was 18, we took her in when her owner was diagnosed with throat cancer 2 years ago. Her owner got her from the RSPCA about 12 years before. She was such a lovely girl, and DD adored her. She was fine on Wednesday, still jumping up on to the sofa and snuggling with DD. The house feels so very empty without her.

@CarmonEileen, that’s it exactly, so empty. I keep going to get up to see if she wants to come in, or expecting the front room door to move and her wander through. We got her from CPL when she was 3 and when she came in the door, she demolished a bowl of food then went to the front room, jumped on a chair, curled up and looked at us as if to say ‘Come on, put the snooker on!’. I used to refer to her as my fur monster but she saw me through my marriage breaking up, my mental health issues, my single mum worries.......it was almost as if she was the cat mum not me.
And I miss her so much

@Foslady it's heartbreaking isn't it. They are so much more than 'just a pet' I'm glad she helped you through your troubles, the snooker line made me chuckle. We also keep looking at the door expecting to see her trotting in, DD misses her, moving her bowls and litter tray was gut wrenching, the empty space in the dining room is awful to see. Sending you much love Flowers

I relate to how much cats help you when times are rough, I have mental health issues and the warm, fluffy purring kitty has given me a huge amount of comfort. Losing her must be devastating.
