Dh and I are currently sat on the sofa. He wants to get up to make a cup of tea , and I'm desperate for a wee.
We are not getting up because our cat is having a snooze between us .
This is not an unusual occurrence ! 😂

'I can't get up, i've got a cat on me' is a perfectly valid excuse in our house

GulliBelle · 14/01/2020 18:21

In our house it is called being catted, and a valid excuse for doing nothing.

dun1urkin · 14/01/2020 18:22

It’s ‘Rule Number One’ in our house; don’t disturb the cat.

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 14/01/2020 18:39

Here it's called 'being incapussitated'.

Toddlerteaplease · 14/01/2020 20:56

Or feline paralysis.

Allergictoironing · 14/01/2020 21:53

Just managed to drag myself upright after around 2 hours of being sat on by Girlcat. She's only started doing this in the last month or so, so there's no way am I going to discourage her. Trouble is, I was in one position for too long & my arthritis is killing me!

Muuuuuuuum · 14/01/2020 21:55

It's called cat stuck here and I currently am. Find it helps with my diet - stops me wandering to kitchen for a snack.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 14/01/2020 22:16

Toddlerteaplease · 14/01/2020 22:36

Cheddar just sat on my chest while I was FaceTiming, I did not move when I was asked to show off my new earphones, as they were in my bag in the hall. Cheddar was looking way to cute!

BovaryX · 15/01/2020 08:13

Ha! Incapussitated! That's exactly what it is!Grin

FamilyOfAliens · 15/01/2020 08:16

I wish our new cat - rescue, ex-stray - would sit on our laps Sad

slipperywhensparticus · 15/01/2020 08:20

I put a Facebook post out "if anyone wants me I'm under the cat" complete with cat on lap pic it rarely happens so I like to tell people

StCharlotte · 19/01/2020 21:58

Here it's called 'being incapussitated'.

That's brilliant!

We call it "diplocatic immunity"

littlebillie · 19/01/2020 22:10

Who does this ?
hazeydays14 · 19/01/2020 22:17

The perfect excuse not to move Grin
Our rescue (not a stray but very timid) took a while to come around to lap sitting, give it time!

VittysCardigan · 19/01/2020 22:56
