Is she being fed elsewhere...

That's what the vet asked!Blush
DCat is 2 and neutered and has put on a kilo, from 4 to 5, in a year. She's WIDE.
She catches a lot of mice but brings them straight to us. Clearly we need fresh food.
She wolfs down her canned food but doesn't eat all her (carefully measured) dry food. Even so, we've cut that down and we're getting some neutered cat food.
How can you find out if your greedy cat that is keen on food is actually a two-dinner Tess?

You could put a paper collar on her asking her "other family" not to feed her.

She’s almost certainly getting fed elsewhere. Mine do, and found out one of mine nipped through an open kitchen window a few years back and helped herself to the Sunday chicken BlushHmm paper collar might help.

We've lost two regular collars within about an hour!
She is a thief definitely. We stop her getting stuff, maybe she's stealing from someone else.
The vet did say it's very hard to put a cat on a diet.

If you’re on Facebook, it might be worth posting a photo of her on local community pages. Say, she’s not lost but is clearly being fed elsewhere but she is on a vet recommended diet, and to please not feed her if you see her. My cheeky chicken stealer was getting fat, and this was how I found out about it Wink worth a shot!

Ooh that's a plan! I thought we might knock on the doors on our street and the one backing on to ours too, the one behind ours has a lot of flats who might not talk to neighbours but might look on FB.

Not found anyone who owns up to feeding her but we found her kitten on a local FB group.

Ha ha ha ha just discovered her kitten (male, 1 year younger) is nearly twice her weight!

Haha. My chicken thief is petite - I think she takes advantage of that to play the “I’m so hungry, my owners don’t feed me... *sad meow” card ;) his dad was probably a big Tom.
