What to give cat for dry skin

This is complicated by the fact that she will not eat any wet food apart from tinned tuna. She rejects salmon or any other kind of oily fish and will only eat encore dry food.
The vet says she ought to be given wet food in case she ever needs medicine - it's easier to hide it in her food, but she just won't eat it. So does anyone know what I can give her for her dry skin, given that she is very stubborn about her diet.
Thanks

I put fish oil on my cat’s dry food. It comes with a pump so I just squirt a little bit on. www.amazon.co.uk/Wee-Doogie-SCOTTISH-SALMON-500ml/dp/B0765XVPKY/ref=mp_s_a_1_5?keywords=salmon+oil&tag=mumsnetforu03-21&qid=1578597232&sr=8-5

When she had to have medication for it our vet prescribed the gel capsules so that we could cut them open and squeeze the gel onto her dry biscuits.

Also, is it dry everywhere or in patches? Would she tolerate you dabbing a bit of balm on her?

Your vet sounds the opposite of mine who said wet food is the devil for cat’s teeth.

Anyway, you’ve said she’ll eat tuna - so you could out medicine in some tuna should she ever need it?

Thank you both. She is very fluffy so it's hard to tell if she's dry all over or if it's in patches. I think she just has dry skin generally because she doesn't seem to scratch in one particular place or all the time, she just gets a few dry flakes on her coat and the vet mentioned it in passing.
I'll try the oil on her dry food and see if she eats it - she really is very fussy about her food. She even rejects fresh tuna and will only eat the Waitrose stuff from a tin Grin

I also put salmon oil on my cats dry food. They eat it no problem.

Mine lap up the salmon oil which I bought to reduce dander in my cats.

Another vote for salmon oil.
We used to give our cats dental snacks for their teeth and their teeth were really good.
The vet said no snacks of any kind.
Then their teeth got worse.
Then the vet said dry food only, wet food not needed.
Another vet said they needed wet food.
I can't keep up.

Thanks all.
Maybe a silly question, but do you all just buy salmon oil from Amazon or can you get it in supermarkets?

My massive bottle was from amazon. Pet shops might sell it though.

Have ordered the salmon oil from Amazon and hopefully she will eat it!
