Cat tray stinks even after cleaning!

I can smell cat pee. No one else can! It’s driving me mad. I’m sure it’s coming from the litter tray even though Iv cleaned it and anti bacterial it.

What can I do?! I’m cleaned around it and the floor!

I use liquid hand soap to wash litter trays, which seems to do the trick. Have you used a mop to clean the floor area and could it be that you can smell? I've done that a few times, without thinking

Bicarb in the litter can help a lot.

But sometimes the plastic just end up ingrained with smell and you just have to get another.

A lot of antibacterial household cleaners are not cat safe so check what you're using...

You can buy enzyme cleaners that will get rid of cat pee smell. Saying that, a clean tray shouldn't smell anyway so I'd suspect there's pee somewhere else. Any rugs or similar nearby?
