Kitten swiping at any chance 😂

Why has Demelza started swiping at any chance she gets? If toddler walks past her she swipes out, if we are sat on the sofa she jumps up and swipes at us. She caught my hand yesterday and has taken a chunk out of my palm 😩

Mine does this, the dog suffers the most. 😳

She’s in training. For the invasion of the thousand toddlers and hands. Grin

The teenage phase, it’s difficult for all species.

A big part of their brain is devoted to detecting movement & the instinct to pounce is strong.

How do you react? I'd go with a fairly strong hiss. She needs to know it's not acceptable.

I yelp 🙈

Well that just makes it more exciting 😺

Ours used to latch on & bunny kick. Cute as a kitten. Not so cute as a 14lb adult.
