What will we call our new baby?

She's only 5 weeks so will be joining us in Feb, but the lady is currently calling her scrappy (she is definitely not a scrappy!)

She's a (non pedigree) mix of Ragdoll mummy and local un-neutered Tom, cream with grey ears and tail.

She needs a human name- help please!

Currently we like Diana, Delphi, or Katherine (Kat for short!)

What will we call our new baby?

Let me guess, it’s the first time the mums escaped and their charging to make sure they go to a good home?.

iklboo · 06/01/2020 17:29

She looks like a Jemima - Jem for short.

Caspianberg · 06/01/2020 17:29

Pearl or Delphine

Whynosnowyet · 06/01/2020 17:30

Margot

Plump82 · 06/01/2020 17:44

I think she looks like a little Pearl.

@Fluffycloudland77 nope, mother is an indoor cat and had not been spayed and a Tom got in the window. I know what you're getting at but this is a good friend of mine and i'm not paying for the kitten.

Thanks for your suggestions, I like Pearl but our cat sitter/family friends cat is Pearl, and her name is Teresa (rules that out too!) I like Jem too, and Penelope (penny?)

Ok, fair enough. Are they going to spay mum? It would reduce the risk of pyometra.

thenewaveragebear1983 · 06/01/2020 18:22

I was going to offer to pay for her to be spayed as payment for the kitten but it's a tricky one isn't it? You can't make someone spay their cat, especially when it never goes outdoors.

Fluffycloudland77 · 06/01/2020 19:04

It is very difficult but long term better for the cat. People have odd ideas about pets anyway.

If your booking yours in you could lie and say the vet offered you a small discount to do both? If your taking one you might as well take two etc.

Ellmau · 06/01/2020 20:44

She's going to be gorgeous when she grows up.

I like Diana of your current shortlist.

Otherwise:

Cassandra
Persephone
Serena
Charlotte
Victoria
Chloe

Phoebe
Petronella
Priscilla
Lydia
Pandora
Jessamine
