Cat hasn’t come home - worried

Feeling very stressed. Let little cat out this morning - he normally only goes out for about an hour particularly if cold. He still hasn’t comeback - have shouted, rattled biscuits, checked down the street. No sign of him. He has never not come when called .

I know it doesn’t sound a long time but he is a creature of habit so is always back by now. I’m most worried with it being Xmas he has got stuck somewhere.

Kids are very upset. I’ve written before about my DC with SEN for whom this cat is particularly special. Am a single parent so can’t go out looking tonight. It’s also the DCs first Xmas without their dad being here ( we are separated).

How I wish I’d cat proofed the garden now ...

Try not to worry yet, mine went off for 12 hours once and came back. Keep calling.

Have you got a local fb spotted page? I see lost pets reunited on there.

Ours buggers off whenever the house routine is disturbed. So we haven't seen her since the present unwrapping kerfuffle this morning.
It's the same when there are "strangers" in the house, shopping gets delivered, anything out of the usual.
I'm confident she'll be back when we've all settled down for the evening.

Thanks everyone

I’m 90% certain he is in someone’s house ( at least not many cars today). He is too friendly for his own good and has lots of ‘friends’ in the street who he visits.

It’s so cold tonight. Hoping someone will discover him when they go to bed!

Is he home?.

MrsJoshNavidi · 26/12/2019 14:54

Just came on to ask the same question.
Did the cat come home?

BighouseLittlemouse · 27/12/2019 13:42

Sorry for the delayed response! Next door neighbour found him in her spare bedroom the next morning and brought him back. Apparently goes in her house quite often ( I suspect encouraged as she used to have cat).

Thank goodness! Was a stressful Christmas night though!

Oh thank heaven for that!

Good to hear! Merry Christmas.
