Cat walked in dettol

Hi,
I normally dont have trouble with my cat jumping on kitchen surfaces but today she jumped up just after I had sprayed with Dettol surface cleaner. I grabbed her and wiped her feet with a sponge but I'm still worried that she might have licked some Dettol off of her feet.
I'm hoping that I'm overreacting and that it would take more than a little bit to make her poorly but I feel terrible!
She seems fine, and has eaten and drunk since she licked her feet.
Any advice? I'm certainly going to look for pet friendly surface cleaners now.

If you wiped her paws straightaway it should be fine.

Dettol is tested on animals though, Waitrose, Aldi, Astonish & M&S are all BUAV approved cleaners. Ecover & Method are owned by a parent company that tests on animals.

Please check with your vet. A friend's cat licked Dettol off his feet and was very ill. I'm sure your girl will be fine and I don't want to scare you, but it put me off using Dettol just in case.

I worried quite a bit so I called the vet. They said that she should be fine because we washed her feet. I've been keeping an eye on her and she seems to be fine.
Definitely going to be finding something else to use instead of Dettol!
