Is this allergies?

Does this sound like allergies? My cat has clear watery eyes, sneezes a lot and keeps scratching her ear to the point she now has a sore there. I'm going to take her to the vet but wondered if that's what it sounds like. I haven't changed her food. She has been on burgess since we adopted her in may. Should I try a change of food or is it unlikely to be that as she has only been like this a few weeks and I've only seen her sore ear (outside) today.

Has she been fully vaccinated against cat flu, etc

Jj2431 · 12/12/2019 21:54

Yes she has

Does her food contain wheat or other grains?

Jj2431 · 12/12/2019 22:06

Yes wheat.. she seemed fine when we first got her though and she's been on same food. I was thinking of trying to slowly change her over but to what?

I’d go to the vet. None of mine ever did this.

I've requested an appointment for the weekend but definitely thinking of trying a new food as well if I can find a good quality one.

Applaws is good quality .Expensive but the food seems to be densley packed into the tin ( that's the only way I can think to describe it ) and goes further than other makes .

Dry or wet food?
Encore is by the same manufacturer as applaws but is cheaper. I use that and thrive which are both grain free dry foods.

They also do wet food

Jj2431 · 13/12/2019 12:02

It's dry. I'm starting to make a switch to natural food with no wheat or gluten
