I noticed i had very itchy toes one evening about 6 weeks. Then the bites came up. Since then I have had bites on my legs and when I really went for the hoovering on my hands and knees I got bites on my hands.
Had the flat sprayed by a contractor twice. No change still getting bitten. Phoned him up and he said that 2 treatments always works. I m terrified I might be passing them onto other people. When I go near people they seem to start scratching. Please can someone offer me some advise.

Do you have pets?

Staffori · 10/12/2019 23:22

Sounds like a bad infestation - where does it come from? If I were you I'd get a flea spray from the supermarket and keep spraying everywhere.

Have you actually seen fleas?

dementedpixie · 12/12/2019 06:56

Has anyone had pets in the house? Are you sure it isnt something like scabies? Fleas dont live on people

Tiredman65 · 14/12/2019 17:31

Its not scabies. I have hovered twice a day for over a week.

I don't see how it can be fleas if you dont have pets. Fleas dont live on humans

Wolfiefan · 14/12/2019 17:53

Have you only just moved into the flat? Have you actually seen fleas? Might it not be that?

Tiredman65 · 14/12/2019 18:15

What else can it be? I have lived here for 4 years.

What do the bites/marks look like? Where are they? I dont see how you can have a huge flea infestation when there are no pets for them to live on. Bed bugs, scabies?

Wolfiefan · 14/12/2019 19:41

If you haven’t had an animal in that time then I don’t think it’s fleas.

Tiredman65 · 16/12/2019 18:45

I wasnt itchy at all yesterday and now it's back. I'm going out of my mind. Bought a tumble dryer yesterday. To dry my clothes hotter to killl the fleas.i have booked a third spraying on 27th december.
I am moving in the new year. Terrified I might take them with me. Yes I sound like I'm mad but I'm not.

Have you actually seen fleas? Do you have a picture of the bites?
