I think I broke my cat ....

He came in with a shrew at 6.30. My DS came to tell me so I went and using the cat to help herd it into a corner, I caught it under a tub, took it outside and it ran off.

The cat is still staring at the spot the shrew was ... nearly four hours ago ....

When I go in there and say his name he looks up at me and then goes back to staring at the corner ....

Will he still be there in the morning?

My stupid fluff head does this with spiders that run under the fridge, can sit for hours waiting for the spider to return. Eventually gives up when distracted by dinner.

Neighbour's meezer did this when the pet mice got loose. He ended up in our garden crouched and staring. We went next door to ask if he was OK and the told us they had thrown him out to distract him from his eternal vigilance. Dumb bloody animal went somewhere else (our garden) and kept staring.

Ugh. Mine bought a mouse in once. Put it down and then got scared of it. And then ran away from it. Leaving me to catch it. He never did it again
