Mad howling and slipper carrying

My cat has developed a habit of doing a strange yowl in the night. More throaty than a miaow and I've noticed keeps moving my furry slippers (one slipper boot with sherpa lining and sometimes my Ugg type mule slippers. I know she's moved them as they feel wet and are in random places
Why? She's 18 so maybe just doing random stuff. Happy as Larry rest of day and evening

Mine makes that throaty howl when she’s brought me a mouse. Maybe her eyesight is going and she thinks your slippers are prey.

Throaty miaow / growl is the signal DCat One has been terrorising the birdies and meeces again. Hmm

Fluffycloudland77 · 02/12/2019 16:25

Our cat always loved a slipper. He loved them.

Toddlerteaplease · 02/12/2019 17:33

Fatty used to do this when playing with her favourite things. I'd run down stairs In a panic and shed just look at me like I'd lost my mind!

His mouse has hidden in your slipper. Sorry.

Villagegreenpreservation · 02/12/2019 18:04

Ooh maybe we have a mouse and she can't catch it. Maybe it roams about at night teasing the decrepit fat cat!

Yep. Silvercat does this when she has caught her squeakymouse toy.
