Morning snuggles

Havelock sleeps with me every night, occasionally swapping sides by walking across my face or chest to do so.
He must be able to sense when I’m awake because as I open my eyes I hear a little chirrup and there he is. He then snuggles right into me purring like mad.
It’s a blissful way to wake up Smile

Awww Smile I get this too from GirlCat. She seems to know when my alarm will go off and just before that she will snuggle up next to me under the covers.

BoyCat sleeps right next to my pillow so I basically wake up covered in cats most days, especially if it's cold Grin

Last night I had both girls lying on my chest next to each other. Although eight kilos of cat makes breathing a bit more difficult!

Cheddar seems to sense when I am about to wake up. As she'll cone for a cuddle. Which is sweet. But she just can't sit still, so by the time she's settled down, I'm fully awake and then she gets disturbed because I've usually decided I need a wee. Cuddles with Snorg are a delight as they are rarer and she sits still.

I wish mine was like that! I get early morning pouncing-usually on my stomach, and I wake up winded! But he's still young, maybe he will calm down, right?

I've got my darling girl laying on my bump in the mornings. As soon as my alarm goes off she hops into bed and purrs!

Nonstopbuttmachine · 28/11/2019 18:05

@SagelyNodding are you sure your cat hasn't taken an E? ShockGrin

Mine are all really snuggly in the morning now. I was contemplating phoning in sick today because I had three purry babies wedged around me in bed and I couldn't move. 😽

SagelyNodding · 28/11/2019 20:30

Grin nonstopbuttmachine I wouldn't put anything past him! I think in that photo he was doing his best 'I'm starving' face !

5 month old Haribo has taken to sleeping on the bed very well. However there is a white, fleecy throw on the bed and as he's mainly white with grey spots and tabby markings it's hard to see if he's there or not at night. The other night in our sleep I was stroking my partner's arm and he was stroking a discarded white bra, both of us thinking it was Haribo. He does seem to sense when I'm due to wake up and he stands on me.

Oh my, Havelock totally suits his name!

I had a cat who would suddenly appear at our gate when I was three doors away. Every day without fail. No matter whether or not there was already someone at home. I assumed that she watched for me, but when I changed jobs and started arriving home later, she wasn't there. It took her a couple of weeks to learn my new routine, and then my little greeter resumed her post. This happened every time I changed jobs. She greeted me for nearly 20 years.

Such a nice way to arrive home. Smile

You are one lucky lucky person
I am so jealous.
My cats rarely sleep with me.
Might start dabbing myself with tuna Grin

scaryteacher · 29/11/2019 13:25

Best bit of the day is dh bringing me tea in bed and then trying to drink it with both the boys draped around and over me.

crimsonlake · 29/11/2019 14:10

My 2 are snugglers, since they sleep on the bed all night they attempt to snuggle up through the night also. One is a kitten and there seems to be a competition for my affection going on.
